I’m Samantha. When I had my first baby, I was shocked by how much harder being a new mom and taking care of a newborn was. My husband was travelling for work, I was isolated from friends and family, and I felt so alone. Fast forward a bit, and a few months after I had my second baby, I found myself yelling at my two year old, sobbing on the floor afterward, and sitting in my pyjamas most of the day with no motivation to take care of myself. That’s when I recognised I needed help. Once I started feeling a little better, I opened up to several mom friends around me who shared that they, too, had been struggling postpartum. I wasn’t alone! It dawned on me that if we don’t share our lives with each other, then we won’t realise what’s normal, that we’re not alone, and that we can have the “tribe” we always read about online. If you feel like you’ve lost yourself in motherhood, had to deal with debilitating anxiety and/or depression, or just need some good ol’ mom hacks, then you’ve come to the right place. Grab a cup of coffee, snuggle up with your baby, and join me on this journey to be the best mother and women we can be–together.
